I see those massage chairs at the mall all the time. I think if they broke down too much it wouldn't be worth it to have them there. So I would guess they're reliable if you bought the commercial brand. If you but one from HOBO or some retail store I would say there would be a difference in both price and quality. For instance, I always wanted a stand-up bar dart board, but your rec room stores only carried the cheap ones you hang on the wall. Sure, they do eveything that the bar dart boards do, but do they last as long. If you're unsure of brands and models subscribe to Consumer Reports online, that's what I use to help me make an informed decision. Hope that helps.

Nice, got a kick out of your mention of the Panasonic, I still have an old radio/cassette player by my workbench that I'll occasionally listen to a Brewers game on. Think I've had it at least 25 years, still chuggin' along.
